I am curious what the CCF community thinks of the condition of this coin. Would there be any sense in grading or just keep as a raw coin? Appreciate any input you all have. Thanks!

Not a bad looking coin. S mints are usually well struck. Looks like it may be a slider AU. Touch of rub on the center of eagles breast and on the obverse, high points of hair. Is there a break in luster over those areas when cartwheeled under a light? I say to keep it raw.

Not really seeing any rub and the surfaces are pretty clean. I'll go with 64.

MS63 is about right for this one.

grading fees and costs would chew up most of the value of this coin. no sense in doing that. the coin would have to be at least a 64 to do that and imo thats borderline value to slab it.
