What do you think on this? It's been in a proof Case until I opened it or rather the coin guy did as for the love of god I could not get the package opened and did not want to brake the case as it was a set. Was looking through a few new sets.

Sorry if pics stink my daughter broke my better lens trying to look at a bug the other day.... LOL kids

In my opinion I going to say this is not MD as reading error-ref Machine Doubling and causes I cant relate for once lol. Now I do Like CLASS IX - SHIFTED HUB DOUBLING due to the Proof set Also has a 93 Nickle and looks very similar to the example they use. But again we know my obsession with MD lol.

Here is the link I am reading https://www.error-ref.com/doubled-dies/

Same with Push doubling/slide doubling I cant match it to these either and don't think I can compare to this https://www.error-ref.com/wp-conten...50549712.jpg

The phenomenon on LIB looks interesting. It's worth remembering that proofs are struck twice, and that can cause some MD-like appearance around the edge of devices. However, there were strong doubled dies on Kennedy proof coins in 1990 and 1992. So it's not impossible that this is a legit minor DDO.

There are some very knowledgeable folks on the forum about Kennedy halves and proof DDO / DDR coins, notably atrox.

One technique you can try is to angle the camera at the letters, and try many rotation positions. I own several proof nickel DDR, and the Class V rotational splits will suddenly become sharply evident when you find the correct camera angle.

I think your half dollar is an example of light MDD. You can see it best on the I and B of LIBERTY.
