Hello,
Does anyone know of a website that has pictures of the whisker and claw varieties for the 1966 one and Two Cent coins? I am looking through some of these, and I think I see some differences, but it would be good to confirm. I am in the US, so I do not have ready access to Australian coin collecting books.

Thanks

JP

I couldn't find any with a quick search through some of the sites I thought would be your best bet. If no one can come up with anything, check back here in a couple of days and I will get some pictures of my own coins up for you.

I know the 1 cent info is out there, I just can't seem to find it.

Nancyc, latman100,

Thanks very much to the both of you. I searched for a while but came up empty. It looks like I will have to reexamine those 2 cent coins - lots of small details I would have missed.

Since you are both from Australia I have another question. Are there Australian versions of he coins folders/albums like those widely used in the US? I poked about on Amazon for a bit trying to find something and came up blank, but I suspect that may not have been the best place to look.

Sorry to keep posting questions, but could someone could also post out a web reference or pictures on how to tell the 1966 five cent pieces apart. I know that it is based on the length of one of the spines, but I can't figure out which one.

Thanks,

JP

The spine is the one in line with the top of the left upper leg if I remember correctly. Someone may have to check that as I don't have my catalogue handy. Will check when I get home.

Thanks for the help folks. I have sorted through most of the coins and I have most of the varieties!
