Could I please help to identify this coin.
I won it part of an auction lot and they just identified it as ancient coin unknown.

Technically not "ancient"; it's an Indian states coin, probably from the 1700s or 1800s.Now we just need to try to narrow down the state in question.

The pic on the left is an inscription in Devanagari script; "right way up" would be rotated 90 degrees anticlockwise. There's no Arabic script on this coin at all, which narrows down the ID somewhat to just the "Hindu states".

I can't tell what's no the other side - perhaps a jhar plant, with date-numerals "above"? I'm leaning towards Kishangarh state?

It might help narrowing things down if you can tell us a size, weight, and composition (is it copper or silver in hand? It could be either from these pics).
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Thank you for info Sap. The coin weighs 9.99g, it is about 20mm wide and 4mm thick and it is made of copper.
Here is another picture with the coin rotated, hopefully the correct way up.

Maybe like one of these, but a lower denomination due to it being copper rather than silver?
