Very nice . Some will say $100 and others $150 but if that's a $500 coin I would go for it . I'm not sure on value but it sounds like you have looked into it congratulations on a great find.

Excellent find! Looking at ebay sold 84 doubled ears, yours would probably be in the $150-$200 range.

Yea I seen what they go for. But this is not going anywhere. I was just informed early on to never get graded if not worth it. Only reason I mentioned the $500 is I think someone somewhere along the way said not worth price to be graded. I just ordered some Hard Plastic holders and will move into that. But In my opinion not worth 500. Maybe if high grade but this one has a few dings. Overall its cool not the best but def my favorite find so far.

Definitely not worth $500, the link I gave you has an NGC MS-67 that sold for $295.

Yea I know. Like I mentioned before not the best but to me priceless. Too many abrasions, dings ect. Coin is not going to be sold. It was more towards the grading cost vs coin value. All good

So all in all I really was trying to state if grading was really worth it due to value of error and coin. Cause I remember someone in here told me not to have it graded as it costs more than sell value. Sorry I didn't mean to say it was worth $500 as it is not. Just used that as example when it comes to having a coin graded.

Still super excited to have it...

As you should be! I do not search for the dollars, I just love searching and finding, if that were the case, I would be way in the hole. If I occasionally find something that's worth a little, I may sell it as I have too many coins as it is and am not really a collector, per sei. If you ever see something I have found and posted, odds are good I will give it to you if you would like. Over the years, some I have sold, MANY have been given away but never hesitate to ask, if you see something you might like.
