Here is a nice example of a doubled eye and ear. Just pulled this one last night from a OBW roll! Looks to be Stage A so I'd assume would carry a higher premium? From Wexlers listing: Obverse Stage A: Two parallel die scratches run NW from the tops of the 1 and 9 to Lincoln's beard. - See date photo No chip seen on T in CENT. 1955-D 1¢ WDDO-001 Photo highlighting the doubled ear as well as eye. Difficult to see the 19 doubling but it's there. Shoulder photo

Yes, looks like Stage A but it may have a small die crack on the shoulder, basically half of what is shown for Stage B. Can you verify? It does not look particularly EDS but if it is mid-stage it might be of high interest to a specialist. The condition is of more importance for value than the die stage unless it's a new or intermediate stage, or is VEDS.

Thanks for the responses! I added a photo for you Ray. Quote: It does not look particularly EDS I'm curious why you say this. From the die flow lines on the periphery?

Thanks y'all!
Ok, after comparing photos from PCGS trueviews, I can see the start of the shoulder crack. Starting from the bottom doubled lapel area extending west. It is very weak.
Good eye Ray.

So it's sort of Stage A/B. And yes, the die flow lines around the periphery and devices are indicative of EMDS or MDS. It's a very nice coin and early enough to show the key pickups with full detail.

I really like this variety. Congrats on a great find. It's a shame there weren't more in the roll.
