2000 D Missing Clad Layer Value - Coin Community Forum

One of them is this 2000 D Washington quarter with missing clad layer. What is a coin like this worth? It is very copper in color though the image barely shows it. Vorpaledged Valued Member United States 106 Posts	Posted 06/16/2025 11:20 pm Hello 5ToyBankers, imo i'd value your 'Obverse Clad Layer Missing' piece at around $100-$150 based on it being ungraded and poor photo quality. With a more detailed picture and having it graded, I would up the value to around $200-$275+ depending on grade (MS63/64/65). Values on 'Missing Clad Layer Errors' regarding Statehood Quarters really shine when it's the Reverse missing! I've paid up to $800 for certain pieces with blazing RED luster and high grades missing the Reverse Clad. The reason other members are asking for the coins weight, the missing clad layer drops it's weight by a few grams. It's a nice piece! Report this Post to the Staff
