I recently was given several coins and am curious of their worth. One of them is this 2000 D Washington quarter with missing clad layer. What is a coin like this worth? It is very copper in color though the image barely shows it. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Initial look says that is a legit missing clad layer coin.

Please give us the weight in grams with 0.01g resolution. Then we can know for sure.

What's the weight of your coin? I'm thinking it's a legitimate Missing Clad Layer error.

A close-in, end-on pic or two of the rim (reeded portion) might be interesting to see/evaluate.

does it really matter...the poster is only asking about value. In which we could say for them to check ebay sold listings and or auction results like Heritage or Great Collections (but remember on those sites most coins are graded which involves additional costs)...

Also once one replies with "what's the weight" do we really need 3 or more respondents asking what's the weight?...Trying to add to your post count? Does Bobby really need to "store" these responses until Forever...( image all the added storeage space taken up by multiple " what's the weight" "can we get the weight"....rant over..have a wonderful weekend.

Well said. Whatever happened to "Quality Posts".
If you really want to see post counts, check out the "Post Your" Gallery Topics Forum. What a waste of web space.
Most other forums I'm on if there is two or three correct answers, no one else needs to responds unless it is a debate.

Hello 5ToyBankers, imo i'd value your 'Obverse Clad Layer Missing' piece at around $100-$150 based on it being ungraded and poor photo quality. With a more detailed picture and having it graded, I would up the value to around $200-$275+ depending on grade (MS63/64/65). Values on 'Missing Clad Layer Errors' regarding Statehood Quarters really shine when it's the Reverse missing! I've paid up to $800 for certain pieces with blazing RED luster and high grades missing the Reverse Clad. The reason other members are asking for the coins weight, the missing clad layer drops it's weight by a few grams. It's a nice piece!
