Somehow, I had preassumption that the roll by NF String Son wrapper is Uncirculated Mint coins.
Today, I went airport to drop off my parents, found a nickel roll in coffee shop, and got it.
But, it was all mixed circulated coins.

so my assumption is wrong?
NF String & Son wrapper can be used with circulated coins?
Where is the roll with NF String & Son wrapper made?
thanks in advance!

Yup, NF String + Sons is just a wrapping paper company. You can buy them by the roll (of wrapping paper) at their site.

The mint usually does that because NF supply the most paper. Otherwise, it's the Brinks paper or plastic rolls.

A quick searh on the internet reveals that they are based in Harrisburg, Pa. They sell wrapping supplies to financial institutions. So my guess is they could have been wrapped anywhere!

thanks for you guy's reply.
It looks that NF String + Sons has 2 types wrappers. One is yellowish grey (recycled paper-looking) type wrapper, and the other is very white wrapper.

I know that any bank can make circulating coin roll using the 1st one.
but I thought that 2nd one (white one) might be used with mint only.
maybe I'm wrong...

Good topic! Yeah, a large majority of the auctions on ebay for an "Unsearched OBW (Old Bank Wrapped) Shotgun Roll" are bull! A lot of these Sellers buy the coins in bulk (rolls, bags, buckets, cans, etc.) search them and roll the coins with their' own Coin Roll Wrapping Machine (or whatever you call it). It is funny when a Seller says that a OBW roll is Vintage or stored since the 40's or 50s's but the Wrapping Paper that they used was not made until the 80's or 90's. So many folks that buy on ebay, have no clue as to when the Wrapping Paper was produced and are easily duped into falling for the Seller's description. I think that there is actually a website dedicated to identifying and showing pictures of examples of all of the known Coin Wrapping Paper, who produced it and when it was produced.

So does N.F. String and Son Sell -Just The Wrappers- without the coins? Or is the only way to get the wrapper, is to buy the coins with it? Thanks
Rest in Peace

I think you will find N.F. String sells machines and paper wrappers for others to wrap coins. I know they make coin wrapping machines because my machine shop makes parts for them. When the wrapper says N.F. String it does not mean it was wrapped by them.

All my roll-searching mixed circulated coins that I get (in Denver) from banks come in the 'white' paper String and Son rolls with color-coded ink stripes at the ends. (just like most BU bank-rolls)

The 'white' paper is used for String And Son Auto Wrap Rolls, and the non-dyed paper is used for the 'precut' coin wrappers.
