I know I should know this but every time I find a 1965 quarter I think they seem to wear away differently. Is there any silver content in them?

Not normally, however there might have been a few wrong blanks/planchets got mixed in the production minting process that were left over from 1964. If you find something that appears to be silver from 1965 better hold onto your coin! Half dollars are a different story, they reduced the silver content from 90% to 40% but continued to have silver until 1971 when they went cupro nickel like the 1965 quarter.

The '65 was released over many years. Most were out by 1971 but a significant number were ibn storage until three years after the mint and Fed started rotating their stock in 1972. This means some of these had a ten year start on circulating. If that weren't enough there are a couple other factors with this. People often hoard this date since it's the oldest quarter in circulation and this date was saved in BU rolls for ten years and in larger numbers than other early clads except the bicentennial.

There are about ten known of these in 90% silver and a unique 1964 in clad. There are a few different reverses on this date as well.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

I would agree with Wheezy, quarters past 64 should all be clad. If you have something you feel is out of the ordinary I would recommend weighing and comparing to actual production weights.

When it comes to Clad, I would write to cladking anyday. There's a specialty that needs more respect. Thanks for that interesting info. I would never have given it a thought. Different reverses too? Cool.
I should get my two clad quarters out and take really nice images of them. One is a P mint but I swear it is super proof like. At the moment, I can't remember the date, the other is a beauty and is a 1967.
I will get back to this. (* note to self )
