Wow, what a stunner!

Pretty much a dream coin for me; too bad it's WAY out of my price range. That cent still looks virtually the same as it did when it left the mint 103 years ago.

Could you imagine going to the bank back then and getting a roll of them?

I've never seen a well struck '22-D in any condition before.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

what a great looking coin!

I have never bought from any auctions sites like this.
Question: is that BP of $39,500 the buyer pays on top of what ever the winning price is?
Take the amounts above: current bid 36K and BP is $39.5K will the buyer pay $75.5K at the end (If the bid were to end at these amounts)

Yes. That's why before you bid in an auction you have to find what the BP is - usually it's a % of the winning bid.
For GC it is: payments made by check, eCheck, or wire transfer, the buyer's premium is 10% (minimum $5 per lot), If the invoice is paid via PayPal or credit card, the buyer's premium is 12.5% (minimum $5 per lot).

To clarify, the current bid is NOT a total of $75.5k, it's $39.5k. That represents a $36k bid that goes to the coin owner, plus the $3.5k Buyers Premium that goes to GC.

I never imagined seeing a '22-D looking so sharp, let alone red.

Imagine what the 1922 No D in this same MS66+ RD condition would have gone for!
