PCGS guestimates there are likely less than 100 existing in MS67 up.
Do I give this one a shot?
According to the price guide the difference between 66 and 67 is over $1300 and a + almost triples that.
The 2nd coin graded MS67+ PCGS. It looks like it has more scratches and dings than mine.

Ver, very nice example. Would love to see it in-hand. With the pics, I'm thinking MS66.

The pic does not do this coin justice. Probably the nicest half I have ever held in my hand. And it came out of a loomis box of all places.

Nice coin! It would be a gamble, but you could get it slabbed if you wanted to.

It's a nice roll find...but count all those rim dings vs the pcgs example..

Upon magnification of the pictures there are too many dings and lines/scratches for a 67.
Reverse also has some dings on the eagle's tail.

Good looking coin...
But the reverse would hold him back. imo
Hit by the H (lower left), hit on the shield and the hit in the stars above the R (lower right) running towards the rim.
Great find in a box!
Put him aside for a month or so and come back and review him again to see if he passes the muster for grading...I think he deserves a spot in an album.
Thanks for posting.

stunning toning and obviously would add to the value. the problem is there is just too many marks on both sides to pull a 67 and may not even make 66 so I'm with the others here, its not worth sending in
