XF details (lightly cleaned)

I'm not seeing any signs of harsh cleaning. look at the imbedded dirt around most of the devices. its been quite a while since it was cleaned and the coin is coming back. my thought is that it was washed and lighting rubbed with a cloth. there are a few marks across the cheek that could have been from this. the coin could possible grade straight. buts it's not worth finding out Otto. just put it in its hole and call it filled. from a value standpoint if it graded at XF40 it would be about a $20 coin. detailed, and because its very light maybe $15. what did you pay for it?

Nice dime lots of detail obv and rev. If its been cleaned I cant spot it half my slabbed original Barber dime semi-key dates likely were lightly cleaned. Ive picked up some nice dimes like yours their hard to resist wiped or not love those barbers.

Hard to say for sure from photos alone, but I'm not convinced it's been cleaned. If it was, it was definitely an old light cleaning that has re-toned and is now market acceptable. I would say VF-35 and a nice purchase for $8!

VF-35 straight grade. Photo lighting sometimes gives the appearance of a cleaning.
