Today a teller at a bank in a nearby town that rarely has any half dollars told me $100 in customer-wrapped rolls were available. I suspected that another CRH had dumped them -- but I decided to give it a shot.
While I was purchasing them, the teller told me that the rolls had been turned in by a long-time customer who recently moved to Lebanon. That news raised my hopes. I found a silver coin in the second roll -- and most of the remaining rolls contained one or two 40% silver Kennedy half dollars. The final haul was 12 silver coins -- a nice way to start the week!
