Spotted this circulated buffalo during my adventures on ebay. Liberty and the date both look distorted, but is that a natural result of circulation flattening or something more interesting?

I'd go with circulation flattening on this one.

EDIT: The bottom of the L in LIBERTY has extra thickness on the DDO's but your looks normal.

I'm thinking circulation flattening on this one. I don't think it's a DDO.

Ok, I will tuck it away as "probably circulation flattening". I guess it's a good example of how broad the numbers and lettering can become with wear. Odd that the reverse lettering doesn't seem to have been distorted in the same way. Maybe due to position and orientation?
