1883 Liberty Nickel With Longacre Doubling?

Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6495 Posts	Posted 07/10/2025 11:59 am I wanted a solid example of Longacre Doubling on a nickel, so I picked up this specimen for a few bucks. Before I put this into my reference library, I just wanted the nod from the pros that this is Longacre Doubling and not Machine Doubling. I had also hoped that this coin might be a RPD, but I think that line next to the 1 is just a die crack to the 8. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong, but my money is on this being MD instead.
