Spence Moderator United States 34393 Posts	Posted 07/10/2025 1:13 pm Are you guys sure it was encased rather than someone silver soldered four jump rings (such as to use in jewelry) and then most of those jump rings were broken off? I ask because especially at 2 o'clock on the obv, that extra material on the rim seems to have part of the ring remaining. In the end it certainly is damage rather than a mint error, regardless of the cause. I suppose it may be the incorrect term and what you describe is more accurate.
