1942 Mercury Dime - Possible 1942/1 Overdate?

alidicera New Member Italy 1 Posts	Posted 07/13/2025 10:57 pm Hi everyone, I recently found this 1942 Mercury dime in a small collection and noticed what seems to be a faint "1" underneath the "2" in the date. I'm not sure if it's a true overdate (1942/1) or just a contact mark or damage. I've attached some close-up photos. Can anyone help me identify if this could be the 1942/1 variety?
