When you see a bulge on a coin it is more likely heat damage. If an indent is on opposite side then it could be a damage from, say a BB gun.

to the CCF. I think this is some sort of heat damage. It would not be possible for the coin to be Minted with a bulge like that.

Heat damage, no other explanation of how it could have happened.
Why do you think it is not heat damage?
