Wow shayez that came out good. The gold around the coin photo looks damaged or flaking. They called mine environmental damage and would not grade the coin. I guess I am looking at the photo wrong. Nice coin then.

CoinForMe, I did actually pause on the triangle and porch when the coin was first posted. That typically shows wear first on a nickel. However, on early Jefferson nickels, that area of the coin also tends to show Die Deterioration of the details fairly quickly. The obverse looked good, so I figured it was a LDS uncirculated coin. You're probably right, though.

Just shows the perils of grading. The difference in price of a 1939 DDR is thousands of dollars between MS and AU.

Still an awesome coin that any Jefferson collector would be proud to own. =)
