I have seen similar boxes but never handled one. I real could they be salvaged even if condition is vf

Thank you guys. I know the coins some are quite collectible the 1830-1930 etc. But I dont know If the coins was real. And even If they are real idk about the condition of the side that has been facing downward. It went for 250S If the coins are real its a good price If reverse is ok

Moniker, the square ones would be trial pieces and it's extremely unlikely that someone would use such rare and valuable items to decorate a box.

But you never know people drill holes/mount and uses coins as jewelry

@hon, how sure are you that the square pieces are trial strikes and not just Klippe? For example, the one with the sailing ship looks a lot like this:
