It's a bit old but this is very relevant to all collectors especially with more valuable coins. zsmiGOZhLzY Sad to see TWO 1930 pennies went missing. Guess the lesson is one day if you are to ever sell your collections, sell them at a reputational place or coin dealers! Similar thing happened to me in the late 1970's on the Central Coast of NSW.Left a few coins,A$200 worth,with a 2nd hand dealer on consignment. Dropped in a few weeks later to see how they were going and shop closed and empty.Neighbour said they took off one w/end owing rent,shop owner said she didn't know where they went. Lesson learnt. Not saying the auction house is squeaky clean but 2 x 1930 pennies? Even if he thought he had them, no guarantee they were genuine. Did he have them listed on his contents insurance?
