Here's a scarce half eagle for your grading and commenting pleasure.
PCGS says about 100 examples survive in all grades, from an original mintage of 15,136.
What do you think?

In my opinion, I don't think this coin is higher than a EF40...

PCGS called this coin AU-50. It does have significant luster around the rims but an XF-45 grade might have been more appropriate.
