Both PCGS both same straight grade both imo are one grade off what do you think? I own coins pics courtesy of GC auctions.

I'm going to say '97 is VG10 and '96 is F12 and PCGS gave both VG10. Def not my series, so will be curious what others have to say.

I agree, they look 10 and 12 respectively.

I'd call these VG-8 and F-12. I'd agree with VG-10 for the 1897-O based on the obverse but its weak reverse rim holds it back.

F-12 for both slabs the 97 O is a nice even VG-10 at tops imo. The 96 O technically shows all of Liberty but doesn't have the punch of NGC or ANACS F-12 dimes imo. Thanks for comments.
Check out the 1895 P on GC graded VG-10 it's wild looking no letters visible looks between a G-6 and VG-8
