I have two coins, found in the same tube, that I believe are the same die but different stages. They both have what I believe is a minor DDO involving the 7 which is the common place for these during this year. I scanned through Wexlers but I didn't see a match. The O on the date has something strange going on with it and at certain lighting angles it gets exaggerated. The reverse dies are different (I didn't post those). The later stage one looks like SKH-05. Opinions on whether or not this is a DDO are welcome, thanks.

I would agree that these two coins are from the same die too, I have pointed out some like markers, some small die gouges and die dots.

Thanks for the replies on this coin!

Thanks Jon, I was getting sleepy last night when I posted this and didn't look through CC listings like I normally would have. You are right that those listings look very similar. 032 and 038 are also close which makes me think this could be a working hub issue. Notice the lopsided zero on many of the listings.

The early stage coin has some doubling evident underneath the top bar in 7 which I don't see in those other listings. The later stage coin, which was heavily polished over, doesn't show this doubling.

I would have to agree with you, Greg and this thought crossed my mind when I ran across two more listings with similar doubling. What was really odd though, the mm location on all four listings I looked at were extremely similar. Maybe not a doubled working hub but different stages of the same die listed as different doubled dies.

I noticed the similar MM location too but how could there be so many unmatched dies/markers on these listings?

The early stage example here for instance has a thick gutter die crack on the reverse that I haven't seen noted on any of the listings.

Yeah, with similar mm locations, similar doubling, there is definitely something odd going on. Well, they are all listings until they aren't. You, as well as anyone, know things change over time in this coin game.

Thanks for the help on this one Jon.

I'll label and set them aside for now.

Didn't help much but you are welcome. I may have just complicated matters more, I'm good at that, without even trying.
