I have several 2024-D penneys that appear to have double die and or light imprents. Does anyone have an idea what these are?

I'm only seeing light induced doubling or Die Deterioration Doubling.

Right - That's what Die Deterioration looks like on the Shield Cents.

It might be MD, but there appears to be "notching" on the upper left corners of NE.

An image of the entire coin might help determine if this is a late die state coin so we can tell if there is Die Deterioration Doubling ( DDD), glare, or something else.

A couple of additional images of the upper left corners of NE might show any actual notching.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Zinc pennies like to play tricks!
The electroplating process seems to create a lot of surfaces which reflect the light creating what can appear to be doubling.
Try rotating (and even angling) the coin to see if the doubling dissappears.
