I found a pretty nice quarter struck on a dime stock. (not a planchet, but rather the thinner stock) It weighs 4.22g my quarter is sandwiched between a normal quarter and a dime.

Nice find, Dearborn! I remember buying one of these off of ebay a couple of years ago. It was labeled as something else.

Nice find, Dearborn Marve65, I would guess a Dime Stock sheet metal roll was cut into Quarter plachets...

Marve...check it out...Mint worker pulled a sheet of copper nickel clad already rolled down to the thickness required for producing dime blanks but used that sheet instead to punch out blanks for quarter production. Nice find Dearborn...welcome to the club

Thanks everyone! This is a cool find for me. Almost tossed it into my quarter pile for rolling...
@ Marve yes dimes weigh 2.27g and clad quarters are at 5.67g, but a planchet the size of a quarter but punched from clad dime material will fall in between. (it is larger than a dime but thinner than a quarter)
