Hi there guys,

I just bought this coin for RM4, and after I inspected it, I found the seem to be a little odd.

Is this oddity normal happening to a 1965 one dime coin or is it an error or flaw ?

Here, take a look & give your comments & opinions.

That is Die Deterioration caused by a worn die.
Not an error but just part of the minting process.

What I see here is over polishing to remove very light die clash

As stated, extreme Die Deterioration. jipa, is correct about a die clash being present too though. You can see it on the first obverse and reverse pics, especially on the bridge of the nose and below the ear.

This is 1965, so expected.

As part of replacing silver coins with clad,

So where Philly minted 929m and Denver 1.36B in 1964, they minted 1.65B in 1965. Those #s are a little deceptive, since 1964-dated silver dimes continued to be minted into 1965, and the clad coinage started after the legislation was approved in late July (so less than half a year).

Just out of curiosity, with a hint of possible die clash, any premium added unto the coin value?

It's not a hint of possible, very apparent, but not much of any premium. A link to study and some marked up pics.
