A lot of getting my hopes up and having them fall but I just can't stop it's like I'm addicted to it now. I've looked over hundreds maybe thousands of coins now and haven't found a real significant error coin yet. I thought I did many times just to find out I was wrong. Report this Post to the Staff

That's a normal experience for all of us. Give yourself credit however for realizing there is a difference between a true mint error (rare) and common expected, normal issues that occur either at the mint or in circulation. Many newcomers to numismatics skip the 'learning' portion of the journey and leap immediately to every unusual coin (such as this Ridge Ring cent) is a rare and valuable error.
