Now I'm torn with what to do with them - open them or hold on to them to sell. In the end, I don't think I'll be able to resist opening them.

This is from the internet so it must be true "Despite its discontinuation, the penny will remain legal tender and retain its value indefinitely, according to the Treasury Department. There are approximately 300 billion pennies still in circulation, far exceeding the amount needed for commerce."

Well, yes, in theory. But most Zincolns will end up in landfills and while proper copper cents end up in the cauldrons.

I have low expectations of finds because cents are not kind to me. First roll had a worn 56 D, Canadian cent and I think a 91 with a clash remnant on the reverse.

Cents are only good for variety and mint errors; they can't buy diddly squat... The only time you see a Lincoln or 'Canadian' cent in your change is when they figure out the tax for the item you just bought..

I bought a box of Lincoln cents yesterday. I was hoping for 2025 but it was a box of uncirculated 2024d cents. Just set them aside for now.

After searching the rolls, put them back into circulation-the artificial concerns about scarcity need to be abated.

So I started going through these slowly. I've gone through 14 rolls so far and actually have been pleasantly surprised this time. So far I've found: 3 Canadian cents 13 Wheat Cents 1 DDO2 minor clashes 1 odd 1972 2 2025 D

I did not touch a used box from a few months back and just snagged another one. My talents are only knowing copper and wheaties thou and move quickly and efficiently. I was happy, the other day, when noticing a penny while hand vacuuming under my raised sofa. I spared it and later saw it was a 1921
