So this past weekend I picked up three boxes of half dollars from my bank, and discovered that the bank had switched armoured car carriers from Gardia to Brinks. Instead of the long rectangular boxes, I got three squarish looking boxes. I brought them home opened them up and upon opening the third box I found this. Over 30 rolls of 90% silver. well over half of the 90%s were franklins. I found well over a roll of bu 1964's. Several BU franklins from the 60's. More than a roll's worth of walkers, mostly ag pieces from 1917 and 1918. I even found at least one proof franklin and possibly second. Only one 40% was found in the third box a 1968d. No coin past 2001 was found. Heres pictures of the rolls as some where opened, three of the rolls were solid silver! Heres a photo of the majority of the silver from the third box The other two boxes both yielded around 10 rolls of silver combined evenly mixed of franklins and 90% kennedies as well as a half roll of 40%s. One of these two boxes yielded a 1955. The newest coin found was a 2002 p. I will post the totals for each date and mintmark as well as some close ups of some of the better finds later this week once I have some more free time. Needless to say I dont think ill ever find a box as good as these for the rest of my life. -XoG

That is incredible! You are right, you will never top this, so stop getting boxes of half dollars now! But then again, it might be rather difficult to quit after a score like this!

Am I doing the math right in that you have easily $6,000+ in silver content alone from this box? Not to mention the numismatic value. This has probably got to be like finding $10,000 laying around...wow!
Congrats!

Sweet find! I got one squarish Brinks box like that and it was pretty good (not nearly as good as yours) and bank refused to order me anymore. Got my first 2 boxes today from new bank and gone through 1 1/2 boxes. Skunkers so far.
