I have 2 of these V.R quarters. I put them under the scope and this is what I see. On the obverse, the word Liberty, GW ear, the 1st 2 of 2025 I see doubling. On the word Liberty it looks like 3 of nearly each letter. The forehead I don't know how this could have came to be but I am going with die chips, crack or of course PMD. On the reverse, the letters E of EPU, the L's of dollar, DARK MATTER, the pointer finger and thumb, the ear, several of the dots, the curved lines and a star, all show doubling but I am still learning how to distinguish true from the other forms of doubling. With that said, I do see a few types represented on this coin.As always, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,Tara

Based of the photos provided if the forehead thing is raised its a diecrack and a die chip. With the lighting provided on the obverse letters id lean more towards they look pretty normal to me unless there is some kind of split serrif action or seperation going on with noticeable extra thickness that I'm just not seeing. The bright outline around the lettering appears to be from when devices interacting with the light as they transition to the shape of the letters top surface. Washington's ear looks normal from that lighting. The reverse looks pretty normal to me (havent seen one of these in person yet tho also) the finger tip is probably MD and based off the photo the thumb it appears to be a contact mark or PMD. Thats my opinion on the matters at hand. Try different lighting and see if the stuff looks noticeably thicker or it disappears under the lighting it could give you a better idea about whats going on with the coin

I'm thinking Machine Doubling and light induced doubling.

Seeing how the apparent doubling is all trending towards the edge, I'll hay that it could be Die Deterioration Doubling, also see a die chip. Also present is a Reed mark under the 'BE' of liberty (obverse side)

DMD
Dark Matter Doubling
Distorts the fields and bends the light rays reflected off the coin.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
