This is an interesting topic and the more we go on, the more we will need to talk about it. It's gonna be a nightmare!

On another forum I go to, folks even simply retouched their photos with AI to make them look more presentable (example: instructing AI to brighten the image a bit, crop, center, etc). This resulted in slightly altered images .. as an example an extra denticles on the rim and stuff like that. This will create pics of never before seen variants and if collectors won't be able to recognise AI altered pics, it's gonna be a real mess.

To this point, one wonders if we should just aim to recognise AI images and block them or warn users.

I'm not a fan of the AI proliferation. it's spread to everywhere now, like a virus. it's in text, it's in pictures, it's in video, it's in sound.

i spent most of my life as an artist. AI junk makes me nauseous. seeing pix of AI-generated coins makes me surly and actually makes stuff by Picasso & Braque look good. (barf)

i tend to treat AI stuff the way I treat my narcissist neighbor: no contact.

An interesting thing to consider.
