Is it possible if this quarter came from the mint?This way, I know it probably didn't.But darn it, it's not scratch at least it was too small and it got squished.It came from the bank this way

Looks like it was minted on an ancient Roman coin!

No possible way for that to happen when the coin was struck. It probably would not even fit in the collar. 100% damage.

I know everybody's gonna disagree with me but hear me out 41 second.If this was alter or postmate damage wouldn't the impressions of washington and on the back side show signs of being shaved off or filed off.Those impressions have not been touched.It seemed like it was on the wrong planchet, that's what I'm seeing

Nothing you say will change anything. It's all damage. None of this could have happened during the striking of the coin. Click on the link I provided and read about the minting process.
