Hi I have a 1917 25cent Newfoundland coin.It is made of silver and is in excellent condition. Does anyone know anything about these coins.

Hi, ginny, Welcome to the Forum.

There were only 2 years that the Newfoundland .25 cents were minted, your 1917 and the 1919.

Very low mintage on both.

hi Ginny,

it may be that your picture is too large? Try a free photobucket account and then you can load the pictures up to there and then post them here nice and large by copy and pating the IMG code under the picture.

ginny, are you using photobucket?

the proper code that will work is IMG CODE. you just copy and paste. you don't have to add image tags or anything like when you tried to upload through the forum.

I will keep watching to see how its working for you.

Ginny, can you get a bit closer? We do love pictures, but closer-up ones are better for determining grade. That's a nice 25 cents.. it's just hard to see details when the picture is small.

ginny, if you zoom, or use the Macro setting on your camera (little flower icon), you might be able to get a bit closer. Plus, if you don't resize the image before uploading to photobucket, that may help as well.
