Were there "Black Beauties'" made in 1955 and if so, is this 1955p Jefferson maybe one?

Its a different color from another normal 55 P that I have, but its also not like the 1959P Black Beauty that I have- not as shiny.

Thanks for any info.

This looks like toning to me. The black beauties that I have seen in the past were coal black and shiney.

I believe there are probably more" burnt planchet nickels "( some more burnt than others) out there and just because we have not read or seen them does not mean they do not exist, I believe that a large portion of errors and oddities are just waiting for someone to spot them. Just my opinion....
