On newer $20 dollar bills the price guide list DC or FW and about $20 difference in value. How do you determine which is which. I thought I had it figured out but then not so sure. I noticed in top right corner some bills have a FW H and a number that varies other bills have E and a number. only have a few bills to compare now and never before looked at this. So can the experts chime in and school me in bills please Thanks in advance JC

That's right. The small FW means it was printed in Fort Worth and no marking is from DC.

Also on the reverse, the plate number is bigger for FW and smaller for DC.

The only exception to this is that in one of the series, (1988A?), the FW plate numbered 295 was the same size as the DC plate.

Yes. There hadn't been anything that good since 1985, when backplate 129 was put on the wrong side of the note! That affected Series 1985, and I think it might have also hit Series 1981A.
