$67. #27 of 40 acquired recently. Recently I purchased 40 slabbed Morgan dollars (36 ANACS, 3 PCGS and 1 ICG) and will post one a day alongside one Peace dollar. I paid an average of $67 for the 40 coins. This time I will post the grade of the coin 2 days after and this time we can compare our grades with those of TPGs. Thoughts? Thanks!

Very nice strike for 1886, and good luster. These are a lot of interesting die cracks.

I can't get to 64 here. There are several scratches on the cheek, but more importantly just a little too much chatter in the fields beneath the eagle's wings. The rest of the central devices are nice and the overall appearance is nice for the grade. I'm at MS-63, and again definitely a nice strike for the date.

I think this is a nicer than average 64 and feel that ANACS called it right on this one.

Circling back to the grades while I'm enduring home remodeling. I'm the outlier on this coin. Revisiting it, I'm low on the grade. I'll catch the pack in the road race. I'm still a little hesitant, but bump me up to 64.
