Recently I purchased 40 slabbed Morgan dollars (36 ANACS, 3 PCGS and 1 ICG) and will post one a day alongside one Peace dollar. I paid an average of $67 for the 40 coins. This time I will post the grade of the coin 2 days after and this time we can compare our grades with those of TPGs. Thoughts? Thanks! fortcollins Pillar of the Community United States 3635 Posts	Posted 01/30/2026 5:37 pm The luster is subdued, but original and intact. The strike is decent for 1886. It has quite a few interesting die cracks and clash marks. The issues are the edge ding from the bridge of the nose to the ear and four light, but long scratches NNW-SSE on the cheek. There are small nicks elsewhere, but these two hold it to MS-63. Nice for the grade. Report this Post to the Staff

Seeing the bright luster and overall appearance in the slab photos, my original grade is at least a full step too low here. I'll bump up to the MS-64 that others saw.
