i found a 1928 2 5 dollar bill green seal, its in good condition but what gets me is it says (redeemable in gold on demand at the united states treasury)does this mean its worth more? and how much is this thing worth?

Not positive but I think it's worth about $12 in G-VG unless it's a star note then it's around $600.

Can you post a photo of it? I'm sure some one here can give you more accurate info then me if they could see it.I'm not at all sure what I said in my previous post is accurate.

So, it's a "1928 A" $5 bill? If so, it's value could depend on what fed district issued it. For example, if it's from Minneapolis (would have number 9 in the black seal on the left), it would be worth quite a bit.
