Her cheek is pretty marked up - I'd drop it to a 62 because of that.

Nice die clashes on it. I'll say 63.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

I'm thinking MS-63.
Errers and Varietys.

look similar to the other 89(P). did you get these from the same seller?
the profile hits are too much for a 63 plus the coin again looks dipped. not over dipped as there is still some luster. maybe this is due to the lighting/photos. only you can say how those fields look in hand
just going by the photos
low end MS62

Hi Panzaldi, thanks for info. I believe that's the photos coming out flat. It was kinda cloudy yesterday. These might help. Both coins have lots of luster in hand. No these are grandmas coins, I personally not a fan of the 89 because I don't like how the date looks for some reason. Sorry it's just small pictures, I was VAM hunting.

i can only go by what you are saying about the luster. but those hits from the eye to the jaw are going to hold her back
the 89(P) all seem to have been banged around a lot. not my fav either but if you can find a decent strike not all banged up, it would be a keeper

Slider in my eyes...high cheek area directly under eye at the level of her nostril looks like some horizontal "slide" marks also eagles right wing tip (our viewing left) shows something, might be a bag mark 58-62
