I recently purchased the displayed coin, mainly because it was a nice upgrade. When I got the coin, I noticed that above the last eight was what looks like to me the right tip of a 7. I looked for other overdate attributes like the Cud midway between the eagle belly and the first 8. Also the broken wingtip. I can't find a Cud and the wingtip looks connected although it is nearly separated. What does the community think about this coin?

Just a regular 1858 large date, not a 1858/7.

Nope, 2 markers on Obverse are not there.
I swing a metal detector and have a knack for finding dirty old coins.

That "prong" above your 8 is not a part of the 7. Dearborn mentioned the "broken" wing tip, and the die chip above the 8 is also not there.
