What kind of value would a cent have with a Cud that eliminates the last 2 digits in the date and partially obscures the 1 and 9? Seller's pic.

Something about this " Cud" seems off, like a Chinese knockoff on a Lincoln Cent..., so value to me is less than. 0.01c and more of a curiosity instead Now the 2001 cent next to it looks much more genuine and looks more like a nice Greaser struck thru error.

I see what you are saying. The odd shape of the bottom of the Cud seems strange.

Please add a reverse photo of the cent with the " Cud".

Yes, looks quite suspect. Gotta ask, what does the reverse look like?

Quote: Gotta ask, what does the reverse look like? When I looked before I only saw blurry pics of the reverse with lose of detail in the right place. I went back and this pic was there. Better but not great. I've had trouble uploading these pics today.

I'm thinking that it's just the pictures making it look like a Chinese fake. It's looks legitimate in my eyes.
Errers and Varietys.

I think my dissonance is partly because the coin on the right looks like a Zincoln, and the coin on the left looks like a worn copper coin.

Wouldn't a Cud of this size also affect the rim too? the Rim looks complete right past the 'lump' of copper. The one on Cuds on Coins shows that the rim is gone (lost in the Cud): https://cuds-on-coins.com/lincoln-c...ence:%20none. The one presented above has a slightly different shape in the curl under the date It also is touching the 1 in the date - while it does not on the example on Cuds on coins.

It has no value as it is a counterfeit.

That coin does not look right. I would stay away from it.
