I found this in my collection and it crazy how much is wrong with it, Wrong planchet? Strike through? or Brockage? Die Clash? Doubling? 180 rotation on reverse The only thing I don't see is the RPM FS-501 I will try to limit the pictures, but it will be hard. it is just a little bigger than a standard quarter(I think it is about 24.6mm) it weights 6.5g the side view one has a regular 1964-D Quarter on the right

A pretty goofy looking fake. The Die Clash is cool though.

Crazy looking attempt at a GWQ - wonder if it's silver though?

This does not appear to be an authentic coin

What happened to George's nose? More proof it is a counterfeit.

wow that's terrible looking - just looking at the eagles beak - long enough to be a toucan beak then Washington's mouth is just laughable - I know some people that just can't draw hands, but a mouth and beak should be pretty easy.

Could this be a contemporary counterfeit? I know there are contemporary counterfeit 1924-S SLQs, 1932, 1936, and 1964 Washington quarters, and I vaguely recall seeing an early 1950s Washington quarter counterfeit some years ago as well. All were cast counterfeits with added reeding (maybe from a Castaing machine). If so, they would be collectible and may be worth more than a genuine quarter. EDIT: It took me a bit to remember the name. Winston Zack is a numismatist who has done a deep dive into contemporary circulating counterfeits. He has updated some of Keith Davignon's work. It may be worth running this one by him.

Actually it is one of the funniest one I've seen, they put a Crow on reverse instead of Eagle

Thanks all for the replies. Agree, I think it looked crazy funny, the puckered mouth, witches' nose and hair, the head of the eagle is crazy and straight out of a 7yo's color book.
Sadly, it is not silver, it 'thunks' and doesn't ping.
I will have a read on the contemporary counterfeits, thanks.
