Poll Question
Would you ever consider buying a coin unseen ? With conditions of seller has 490 100% positive and sells only rare coins. Coin described as BU and 7 days return,no picture which is very odd. If you seen it in the last minute ridiculously cheap.

Maybe! A hundred dollar coin going for ten, I might gamble. A thousand dollar coin going for a Hundred...probably not. I think it just depends on how much I can afford to lose on a given day...sort of like the lottery!

I would have ... probably, but I still use messages and ask general appearance questions, distracting marks, scratches etc.
Was it this one? [eBayItem]110401884919[/eBayItem]
That one listed only as BU and a Great example, fetched $15.00 (not $10.00) and that makes a difference. Since a GEM BU with image got about $26.00 shipped

Im guessing it will be monday now Ratman , I've never returned a coin and I dont plan on starting anytime soon.Usually I'm pretty confident in what I buy. Sometimes you have to take a chance to get the prize.Ive bid on several poor picture obverse only coins to find 0 and CC mintmarks on the other side. I used to metal detect Ratty , but when I tally the cost of the machine , gas to get there, lunches and day out expenses, batteries , it works out cheaper just to go buy a few barbers or seateds at auction, guarenteed result. I mostly detect just as winter slips away , before the insects come out , I've found some very nice coins but few and far between.

if it is cheap I buy, if it is darn expensive, I do not. Price and desire, that is all.

It wasnt a great deal to gamble Valuatrick,if it is what was claimed then I've made an excellent addition to my Frankies for next to nothing opposed to what the real value might be. I could easily have thrown my money away but looking at the sellers feedback I dont think so.I have a tracking number so with any luck we'll all get to see it tomorrow.
