I don't know if there is really any significance. String & Sons is a paper supply company that supplies banks and others with wrapping supplies.

Typically, BU bank rolls of coins come in the white
paper String & Son wrappers with color-coded stripes
(by denomination) on the ends.

Mixed circulated coins can also come in these white
paper wrappers, I get those all the time at my local
grocery store for roll searching and spending use.

IMO I believe you have a better chance of getting uncirculated coins in these wrappers directly from your bank. Other wrapers seem to have more or all circulated coins in them.

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure. One more question - Do the banks roll their own coinage, For instance TD Bank here in NJ has a coin machine. I was wondering if they take those coins, wrap them and then circulate.

Depends on the bank, but most do not roll there own anymore.

Black and white half dollar wrappers from NF String are evil! They never contain silver. I'm still trying to get to the bottom of this. The yellow and white wrappers usually contain silver.
