Agreed. Interesting to have split dies on both faces. Looks like there is evidence of previous clashes that got scraped out, and then some fresh clashes, too. Neat find! =)
Thanks all. I checked Cuds on coins before I put this up on here and nothing. I'm thinking maybe a feeded malfunction caused the dies to clash a number of times before anyone noticed the problem. The dies were probably replaced in short order. Otherwise similar examples of this one would been found by now. The progression would have been interesting. It's on ebay now.
