I agree. Still a nice Cracked Skull though.
Errers and Varietys.

Quote: I don't see it reaching the rim in your pics, so maybe not a spike head. I posted the relevant CUDS-ON-COIN url at the top of the post. But thanks for posting it again. If you look closely at the third photo, you can see it reaching (and going over) the rim. I also included a photo of the die marker.

Similar but do not think your coin is from the same die, cracking is slightly different. The link I left you was different from yours, just to show you what an RIDB looks like but as I already stated, yours is not quite that either. Notice the red arrow pointing out different cracking.

A lot of the Cuds-On=Coins photos for the same Cud, spiked head, etc look quite different from each other. I wanted to show photo with my coin and Cuds-On-Coins example side by side with arrows showing that the crack path going toward the rim is the same. However, I can't seem to upload any photos right now.

ok finally got the images - and it is Not SKH-1c-1958-03 - the angle of the die crack is not the same under the 'WE' as compared to yours. Also the 'RIDB' is far too prominent on your coin than it is on the C-o-C example.

It does not matter though, these are not from the same die, you can easily see the cracking is different. If you cannot see it, I do not know how else to explain....

-MAKECENTS-, I guess it depends on how you define the die crack track. If you turn the coin 90 degrees, you can see that the "03" track is actually a little stronger on this coin than the alternate path which fades out before getting out of Lincoln's hair (please see new photo). At any rate, even if it's not 03, then its a new Spiked Head.

So we are agreed that it is not the 03 Now if it is a new one, are you going to submit it and get your name on it?
