Edit by staff: I deleted the poll version of this thread.

(sorry for posting a poll - I don't know how to change it)

I'm struggling to identify which DDR this is. By referencing coppercoins.com, it could be DDR - 004 since its LDS but I'm not seeing anything on the R and C. Am I way off on this? I have about 14 or so out of 1 roll so it's either the same reverse die and the initials and EPU are thicker or it's a DDR.

(Editing)
This first picture is a die in the same role, but you can see the initials are considerably slimmer

Looks normal to me. Just seeing Die Deterioration and Split Plating. https://coppercoins.com/lincoln/die...ie_state=lds

It is not a DDR, rather split plating that looks like doubling.( for the future try to tame your white balance, dimmer light would help)

Quote:
Split copper plating on post-1982 Lincoln cents (also known as plating split-doubling or Plating Split-Doubling) is caused by high-pressure striking forces stretching the thin copper coating beyond its limit over the softer zinc core. This stretching causes the copper to tear, revealing the zinc beneath, often creating a "doubled" appearance on design elements.

I agree with split plating. You can see it around the memorial and the dark lines
above the metal is probably the zinc showing through.
Better light balance would show this as zinc.

Agree with split plating, not a DDO / DDR
