Hello coin community, I have a 1964D Jefferson, nickel error, coin. I'm wanting to find out if this coin should be graded. I've been collecting coins(mostly Lincoln memorial) but I was surprised when I found this nickel in circulation. Can anyone tell me the estimated value of this coin? I would greatly appreciate any advice from the coin community.

to the CCF

What makes you think this is an error?

I see a damaged coin with the 'circle of death' from a coin rolling machine. Value is 5 cents.

Nope - not worth grading.

Please get in the habit of showing both side of the coin. Thanks

Agree--post-strike damage, likely from a mechanical device...think old school parking meter or coin roll wrapping.

To CCF! Just a damaged coin. Not an error. Not worth slabbing, as it's not an error, and it's only worth 5 cents.

Yeah, that's the Ring of Death from a Coin Wrapping Machine.
