That's definitley "grooves" into the die face - from metal flow deterioration or possibly Feeder Finger Damage that a mint worker tried to polish out.

I'm thinking maybe FFD - as they all go one direction (red lines) while the metal flow lines move from the center outwards in a radial pattern (green lines)

The differences between FFD, die scrapes, die abrasion, die dents, etc, seem so minor, and even overlapping, that I can't figure them out.
